Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within a safe, effective nursing process. You will be part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring quality outcomes and ongoing care coordination across clinic and home settings.

The role requires 12 months RN experience, GA or multi-state licensure, and BLS within 30 days. PALS/PEARS within one year may be required by the department. Weekend coverage and schedule details are per unit.

Qualifications

• 12 months RN experience required.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or multi-state (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PEARS within one year of employment as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates and maintains effective interaction with medical staff, nursing staff, social workers, and others to drive care coordination and continuity of patient care.
• Communicates with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate care coordination for specialty.
• Coordinates with home health agencies, payors, and community resources to address patient needs.
• Facilitates ongoing communication with patient/family and staff to identify and resolve barriers.
• Incorporates clinical practice guidelines at the patient level and supports outpatient clinic care coordination and telehealth as needed.
• Participates in lifelong learning to maintain knowledge and competence in nursing practice.
• Oversees nursing care by unlicensed personnel while ensuring patient care quality.
• Engages in ethical practices and maintains professional boundaries.
• Contributes to a healthy work environment and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.
