Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide direct patient care and participate in an interdisciplinary healthcare team. The position requires at least 12 months of RN experience, a BSN, and GA or multi-state RN licensure, with BLS within 30 days and PALS/PEARS within one year.

Qualifications

• 12 months RN experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in nursing.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia or Multi-State via the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Promotes quality patient outcomes and safe care delivery.
• Communicates with medical staff, nursing staff, social workers, and others to coordinate care.
• Delivers care coordination between clinic and home and through telehealth as needed.
• Identifies and escalates risk management, peer review, or quality issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains professional records and participates in ongoing learning and performance development.
