Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care and perform the nursing process within an interdisciplinary team, delivering safe, age-appropriate, family-centered care.

With 12 months of RN experience required and a BSN preferred, candidates must hold licensure in Georgia (or multi-state) and obtain BLS within 30 days; ED staff may need PALS or PEARS within one year.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• RN license in Georgia or multi-state licensure via the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment or start of shift if in ED; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PEARS within 1 year as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing process across the continuum to deliver age- and developmentally appropriate patient-family-centered care.
• Utilizes documentation tools to record, measure, and retrieve healthcare data and to educate patients and families.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, ensure safety, and manage patient flow.
• Engages in ongoing learning and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
