Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is hiring an experienced Clinical Nurse for our Outpatient Hemodialysis clinic. The clinic operates from 6 AM - 5 PM, caring for multiple patients daily and providing education and direct patient care for those undergoing regular treatments.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of dialysis experience or 2 years RN inpatient, or 1 year RN with HD CCHT experience; Fresenius 2008 T machines experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year dialysis experience or 2 years RN inpatient experience or 1 year RN with HD CCHT experience.
• Experience with Fresenius 2008 T machines highly preferred.
• New grads will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions to determine initial treatment plan.
• Evaluates patient responses and documents progress in charts.
• Ensures compliance with medication storage and documentation standards.
• Provides unit and patient/family orientation to policies and requirements.
• Supervises care activities of assigned team members and provides feedback.
• Collaborates with care team to plan care and participates in rounds.
• Mentors students and new staff to promote best practices.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.
