Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for a full-time day shift with a 40-hour work week and 8am-5pm schedule. The role involves family-centered nursing care across pediatric patients within the assigned scope of practice.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, maintains an active Ohio RN license (MSL) and a current BLS certification. Two years of experience is preferred, with opportunities to mentor staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BSN required; degree must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire if not held
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association required
• Active Ohio RN license (MSL) required; MSL within 90 days for telehealth/out-of-state care
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
• Candidates hired without a BSN must obtain the degree within 5 years from date of hire
