Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for Outpatient Hematology/Oncology, part-time, 24 hours per week, with 8:00am–4:30pm shifts and on-site work in Akron, OH.

The RN will provide family-centered nursing care, collaborate with providers, and participate in quality and safety initiatives. Requires BSN (or within 5 years), Ohio RN license, and BLS certification, with pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• Current RN license in Ohio (MSL) within 90 days if telehealth or out-of-state care.
• BLS certification required from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care with family-centered focus.
• Provide care for physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs of patients.
• Lead and mentor staff; participate in precepting new employees.
