Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 11P Hematology/Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Levine Children’s Hospital. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive pediatric patient care, following nursing process and evidence-based practices.

Requires 6 months RN experience, active RN license, and BLS; PALS within 6 months. 3 12-hour shifts, every third weekend, holiday rotation; benefits eligible in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience; this position is not for new graduates.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric or hem/onc inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in line with standards, policies, and procedures.|
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
