Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years fundraising with gifts of $50,000+.
• Proven ability to build relationships and move a pipeline from planning to solicitation.
• Able to use a database to maintain donor records, reports and proposals.
• Strong communication skills and accountability to goals/metrics.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward UVA Health Children's prospects.
• Create donor strategy to move prospects along the development continuum and raise major gifts.
• Manage a pipeline of proposals aligned with clinical, research, and education priorities.
• Design and execute fundraising strategy across departments and priorities.
• Review HIPAA-compliant patient data to identify major gift prospects and guide research.
• Maintain presence to build partnerships with faculty and staff and promote philanthropy.
• Train faculty and staff on philanthropy principles and tactics.
• Translate clinical areas for clear communication with prospects and donors.
