Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a compassionate Clinical Social Worker to join our pediatric GI teams in a hybrid, 36-hour-per-week role. You’ll support families navigating Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, Celiac Disease and related conditions, coordinating care across medical and educational settings.

Required: MSW and LICSW licensure in MA, strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork. This role offers full benefits and a sign-on bonus for new hires.

Qualifications

• MSW required with LICSW licensure in MA.
• Pediatric medical social work experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; organizational skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multidisciplinary clinic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial screenings and assessments to guide care.
• Provide individual and family support focused on chronic illness adjustment.
• Coordinate care and facilitate access to community and hospital resources.
• Assist families with school accommodations and education planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, dietitians, psychologists and others.
• Support crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
• Participate in program development and quality improvement.
