Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a clinically experienced RN to join the GI/Hepatology Clinic in a full-time capacity.

The role emphasizes behind-the-scenes coordination of care, patient education for families, and practice within a multidisciplinary team to minimize hospital visits. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinic, current Arizona RN licensure, BLS, and pediatric experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year ADN or BSN degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or RN to BSN in progress preferred.
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Current AZ RN license and BLS certification required.
• PALS certification may be required within 90 days for select departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments across age and condition; develop a care plan.
• Implement and monitor plans of care per policies; provide health education.
• Coordinate care and transitions across settings, partnering with families to prevent ER visits.
• Document in medical records and ensure patient safety and quality indicators.
• Mentor students and new staff; support team effectiveness.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
