Job summary

Cortica Care is seeking a Medical Assistant (Front Office) to join our pediatric-focused team in Torrance. This 100% onsite, full-time position combines administrative duties with patient-facing tasks in a pediatric outpatient setting.

You will support check-in, chart prep, vital signs, scheduling, billing communications, EMR management, and coordination of referrals in a collaborative clinic environment with the Pediatric Neurologist.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Medical Assistant experience in pediatrics or family practice setting.
• Administrative-focused role with patient-facing components.

Responsibilities

• Assist with check in of in person and telehealth patients.
• Serve as the primary assistant to physicians and nurse practitioners, including chart preparation and between-visit support.
• Provide neuromodulation education and support to patients per Cortica SOPs.
• Order and track labs, genetic tests, and imaging.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and upload documents.
• Coordinate EEG referrals and referrals as needed.
• Prepare materials for presentations and run errands for the medical team.
• Handle scheduling, paperwork, and communications with patients and billing.
