RVA Children's Dentistry PC in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a compassionate Patient Care and Insurance Coordinator to join our busy front desk team. This role welcomes families and guides them through insurance and administrative processes, ensuring smooth visits and accurate billing.

You will verify insurance, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and maintain patient records in our Dentrix/Eaglesoft environment while collaborating with clinicians to deliver high-quality pediatric care.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a dental or medical front office, patient coordination, or insurance billing role preferred.
• Working knowledge of dental insurance verification, claims submission, and EOBs.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy office environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with children and parents.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in billing and patient records.
• Positive, patient, and professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients and families, creating a warm and welcoming front-desk experience
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments to optimize daily workflow
• Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage prior to patient visits
• Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims and handle billing inquiries
• Collect co-pays, explain treatment costs, and assist families with payment plan options
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the practice management system
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office
• Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries in a professional and timely manner
