Qualifications

• Education: BSN required within 5 years of hire.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant pediatric nursing experience.
• Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia and BLS certification.
• Physical demands: standing, travel, lifting 20-50 lbs, sensitive to chemicals/blood/body fluids.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, family-centered care to pediatric patients across inpatient and emergency settings.
• Support patient care needs across PICU, Acute Pediatrics, and the Pediatric Emergency Department based on census and clinical demand.
• Collaborate closely with pediatric physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain consistent standards of quality, safety, and communication across units.
• Serve as a reliable clinical resource during high-volume periods and staffing needs.
