Job summary

105 Carolinas Medical Center’s Pediatric Med/Surg Float Team supports Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC, with cross-training opportunities across pediatric units. RNs provide care across the continuum, with emphasis on safety, evidence-based practice, and compassionate patient interactions.

Candidates should have an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS; PALS within 6 months of hire; and at least 1 year of pediatric inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• At least 1 year of pediatric in-patient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
