Job summary

Duke University Health System is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Float Pool. The role supports Hospital, Regional, and Raleigh campuses and requires delivering high-quality nursing care across Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, and Pediatric units.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Nursing (or higher) with NC RN licensure, 12 months of clinical experience, and a commitment to family-centered care. Competitive benefits and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or higher) required or an Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• Twelve months of clinical experience required for Experienced RNs.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in North Carolina or compact state with NC Board of Nursing eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care in patient care plans and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Act as team leader/charge nurse for a group of patients or an entire unit as assigned.
• Monitor and maintain the environment of care including equipment and materials.
• Participate in professional development and performance improvement activities.
