Orlando Health Children's Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, FL seeks an Assistant Nurse Operations Manager to oversee nursing practice and administrative operations of the designated unit, in partnership with the Nursing Operations Manager.

The role emphasizes staff leadership, patient experience, budget and quality outcomes, with day shift in the Children's Emergency & Trauma Unit.

Qualifications

• BSN is required or BSN with graduate business/health degree preferred.
• Graduate degree in Business or health-related field preferred.
• MSN or DNP preferred.
• Current Florida RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Shared 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
• Coordinates with HR on corrective action and career advancement.
• Oversees unit staffing to ensure proper staff mix for patient care.
• Maintains oversight of patient flow and ensures outcomes.
• Leads staff meetings, GEMBA board, or huddles; demonstrates ownership of unit and outcomes.
• Performs direct patient care as required to meet operational needs.
• Maintains compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Education

Bachelor in Nursing Degree (BSN)

Graduate degree in Business or health-related field

Masters in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
