Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for the East Valley Emergency Department. The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and pediatric nursing experience, with supervision responsibilities across shifts and a focus on high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The position supports clinical leadership, coordination of staff, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to meet safety and care standards in a new East Valley ED opening in 2027.

Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking skills and excellent communication.
• Two years nursing experience or demonstrated bedside nursing competence.
• Experience in fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environments.
• Arizona RN license (or compact) and state licensure compliance.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• PEARS, PALS, or NRP certification (or within 9 months of hire).
• Current nursing certification in clinical nursing (or obtainable within 1 year).
• Supervisor/lead experience preferred; pediatric population experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift operational flow in line with organizational goals and standards.
• Act as the hospital’s clinical representative/resource for patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Provide clinical leadership of patient care services and supervise nursing and support staff.
• Ensure developmentally appropriate quality patient care and an engaging work environment.
