Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is expanding with a new East Valley Hospital Emergency Department scheduled to open in 2027. We are seeking dedicated nurses with emergency, pediatric, or critical care experience to join our team in Gilbert.

As a Clinical Nurse in the East Valley ED, you will perform comprehensive assessments, collaborate with the care team, mentor new staff, and participate in rounds and family education. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, with varied day shifts.

Qualifications

• Two year (ADN) or four year (BSN) or Diploma Nursing degree required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or enrollment in RN to BSN program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions (age/diagnosis) to determine initial care plan.
• Continuously evaluates patient responses and documents progress for care team and family.
• Contributes to team effort ensuring compliance with medication, storage and documentation standards.
• Provides orientation to the unit and hospital systems for patients and families.
• Supervises patient care activities of assigned team members and provides feedback.
• Collaborates with care team and families to implement plan of care and participates in rounds/conferences.
• Fosters learning environment by mentoring students and new staff.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.

Education
