Job summary

Nemours Children Hospital in Orlando is seeking an APP to join our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). This role involves managing patient care from admission to discharge under the supervision of a physician, with a focus on collaborative, evidence-based practice.

The APP will participate in a rotating schedule including EMU blocks, inpatient care, and weekends, with night calls as required. Florida APRN or PA licensure, board certification, and BLS/PALS are mandatory, along with DEA credentials.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing (APRN) or physician assistant studies.
• Florida APRN license or PA license with national certification.
• BLS and PALS required at hire; Florida DEA.

Responsibilities

• Provide care from admission to discharge in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
• Collaborate with neurology team and supervising MD.
• Manage night calls and weekend inpatient coverage as scheduled.
• Document patient progress and care plans clearly and timely.
