Job summary

Williamson Health in Franklin, Tennessee is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Pediatrics unit to cover PRN night shifts. You will deliver immediate, specialized care to children with acute illnesses or injuries, performing assessment and prioritizing interventions.

Collaborating with pediatric physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and child life specialists, you will explain treatment plans to families and support emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• PALS, ACLS, ENPC or TNCC, and NVCI courses offered through the hospital and required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides family-centered care
• Quickly assesses patients to identify their needs
• Able to work well under pressure
• Works closely with pediatric emergency room physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to provide excellent care
• Explains treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance
• Maintains hospital and unit specific competencies
• Collaborates with the pediatric acute care team to coordinate transition of care for an admitted patient
