Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience and diabetic education experience preferred.
• Prior education experience preferred.
• Active TX RN License.
• BSN required.
• Hold graduate degree in nursing, education, or related field, or be pursuing graduate degree.
• BLS
• PALS

Responsibilities

• This RN will serve as a role model, change agent, and facilitator while assessing learning needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for patient and family education.
• The Education Coordinator collaborates with teams to ensure that education is congruent with the strategic goals and promise of Cook Children's, as well as with current standards of practice and evidence-based research.
• This educator maintains clinical competency and collaborates with the clinical educator to facilitate staff education.
