Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience; pediatrics preferred.
• Pediatrics experience and diabetic education experience preferred.
• Prior education experience preferred.
• Active TX RN license; BSN required.
• Graduate degree in nursing, education, or related field, or pursuing one.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs and plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family education.
• Collaborate with teams to align education with Cook Children’s goals and evidence-based practice.
• Support family-centered care principles in all education activities.
• Maintain clinical nursing competency and coordinate staff education with the clinical educator.
• Demonstrate strong communication and patient education outcomes.
