Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join the Emergency Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville. This is a part-time shift opportunity.

You will assist Registered Nurses with patient care, support daily living activities, maintain a safe environment, and help ensure efficient ED operations. The role requires a High School Diploma, BLS, and current EMT or CNA licensure; prior patient care and hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate of Arts/Science preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Licensed EMT or CNA required.
• Experience in patient care and hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs in the Emergency Department with patient care.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Maintain a safe patient environment.
• Collect lab specimens.
• Monitor intake and output.
• Document in the electronic medical record.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
