Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville seeks an Emergency Department Technician to support the ED team on a full-time evening shift, assisting Registered Nurses with patient care and daily healthcare needs. You will help maintain a safe patient environment, collect lab specimens, monitor intake and output, and document in the electronic medical record under RN supervision.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, BLS, and EMT or CNA licensure; AA/AS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate of Arts/Science preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Licensed EMT or CNA required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with patient care and activities of daily living.
• Maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Collecting lab specimens for testing.
• Intake and Output monitoring for admitted patients.
• Electronic medical record documentation under RN supervision.
• Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
