Job summary

ORLANDO HEALTH ARNOLD PALMER HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to optimize medication use in the pediatric ED and support trauma and emergency response teams. You will provide direct patient care, oversee medication safety, and integrate evidence-based pharmacotherapy into emergency and trauma care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree required (PharmD preferred).
• Two (2) years ASHP-accredited residency or Fellowship in a pediatric/emergency practice, or equivalent.
• licensure by Florida Board of Pharmacy or eligibility within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct pharmaceutical care during pediatric emergencies, resuscitations, traumas, codes, and procedural sedations in the ED.
• Serve as medication expert at the bedside for rapid, accurate, safe selection, preparation, and administration.
• Anticipate and manage medication needs for critically ill pediatric patients, including weight-based dosing.
• Support care of complex pediatric emergencies, including sepsis, status epilepticus, polytrauma, and cardiovascular events.
• Lead medication-use protocols and safety initiatives specific to pediatric emergency care.
