Job summary

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks an Emergency Department Partner to respond to, triage, and support patient care in a fast-paced ED. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and high-quality pediatric and adult care.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely assessment and intervention. Under physician supervision, you will perform airway, circulation, and monitoring tasks, administer medications, and coordinate with EMS, trauma, and nursing teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience in Emergency Medical Services or Hospital Emergency Department setting.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced ED environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and treat emergent, urgent, and non-urgent medical requests.
• Communicate with families and the care team to identify needs and status changes.
• Administer medications and support procedures per protocols and orders.
• Participate in EMS and trauma response teams as assigned.

Education

EMT-P certification (IDPH EMT-P)

PALS/ACLS certifications

Illinois EMT-P license/approval
