Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children\'s Hospital of Chicago seeks an Emergency Department Partner (EDP) to respond to, assess, and triage emergent, urgent, and non-urgent requests for medical care within the ED.

The role integrates neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and adult patient needs and supports high-quality care. As a key ED team member, the EDP will perform assessments, communicate with families and the multidisciplinary team, and participate in life-saving interventions while upholding service

Qualifications

• Respond to emergency requests and triage, urgent and non-urgent medical care.
• Provide basic and advanced care within scope of practice as an Emergency Department Partner.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to identify health care needs and changes in patient status.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments utilizing a variety of assessment methods and/or area-specific tools.
• Performs patient care according to procedures/protocols; anticipates emergent situations and intervenes.
• Communicates with family and team to identify health care needs and coordinate referrals.
• Keeps up to date in EMS National scope of practice by using current EMS and healthcare literature.
