Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Emergency Department Partner to respond to, assess, and triage emergent, urgent, and non-urgent medical requests.

The role involves applying advanced knowledge to determine patient needs, administer medications, interpret diagnostics, provide complex care, and facilitate access to higher levels of care as needed. As an integral ED team member, the EDP will care for neonatal to adult patients, aligning with growth and development

Qualificações

• Respond to emergent medical requests
• Assess physiologic, psychological, and psychosocial needs
• Communicate with families and multidisciplinary team

Responsabilidades

• Performs assessments utilizing a variety of assessment methods and/or area-specific tools.
• Performs patient care according to procedures/protocols. Anticipates impending emergent situations and intervenes effectively.
• Communicates with the family and members of the multidisciplinary team to identify health care needs. Communicates changes in patient status. Utilizes appropriate resources for referral or consultations.
• Keeps up to date in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) National scope of practice by utilizing current EMS and healthcare literature for information and problem solving.
• Evaluates the patient’s progress through continuous observation and assessment of responses to interventions, treatments, and therapies. Recommends revision in the care plan according to changes in patient needs.
• Incorporates current hospital and departmental quality initiatives into daily activities.
• Adheres to communication, service excellence and professional image standards that support the hospital mission and philosophy.
• Works cooperatively as a team member to foster
