Job summary

Ascension's Dell Children’s Medical Center seeks a highly skilled ECMO-trained professional for night shift duty in the Pulmonary Diagnostics - Core ECMO Team. You will operate life-support ECMO circuits, monitor pumps, and administer care to critically ill pediatric patients.

Candidates must hold Texas RN or Respiratory Care credentials, with pediatric ECMO and intensive care experience preferred. Join us to advance patient outcomes in a supportive Catholic health system.

Qualifications

• Texas nursing license or credential required prior to hire date.
• Respiratory care credentials from TX DSHS or NBRC required prior to hire date.
• Pediatric ECMO experience strongly preferred.
• Critical Care experience in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate ECMO circuits and manage therapy per physician orders to sustain critically ill patients.
• Monitor circuit and pump performance and administer blood products, medications, and fluids.
• Evaluate anticoagulation, electrolytes and blood gases in real time, adjusting as needed.
• Precept and train incoming ECMO team members to uphold safety and teamwork.
• Document complex patient parameters and procedures for continuity of care and compliance.
