Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey seeks a Per-Diem Pediatric Echocardiographer to perform pediatric and adult echocardiograms and assist cardiologists during stress Echo and TEE procedures. This role requires fetal echocardiography experience and familiarity with the CPACS/EPIC workflow.

The position involves travel to Brick, Red Bank or Neptune offices with hours Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, and a focus on pediatric cardiology along with collaboration with the echo team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school and/or ultrasonography program with a cardiac focus.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
• Knowledge of congenital heart defects, fetal circulation and related anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Performs pediatric and adult echocardiograms including 2-D M-Mode, color flow imaging and doppler studies.
• Performs fetal echocardiograms and congenital echocardiograms.
• Obtains patient history and performs procedures as ordered.
• Calibrates, cleans and maintains equipment; reports breakdowns to echo supervisor.
• Completes and processes billing documentation and prepares room for next patient.
