Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Belleville, NJ, is seeking an Echocardiographer to join the Non-Invasive Cardiac Lab on a Per Diem, Day shift basis at Clara Maass Medical Center. The role focuses on performing high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies and supporting physicians during evaluations.

You will obtain 2D, Doppler, and M-mode images, assist with EKGs, and ensure documentation and EMR uploads while maintaining accreditation and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography program.
• Current ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification in echocardiography.
• Minimum of two years of echocardiography experience; outpatient/complex cases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms for patients with congenital and acquired heart disease.
• Acquire high-quality 2D, Doppler, and M-mode cardiac imaging and support clinical documentation.
• Obtain accurate imaging per cardiology protocols and ensure proper labeling and uploads to EMR.
• Perform and document electrocardiograms and assist with Holter/event monitor placement.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care.
