Job summary

New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is expanding with a part-time Pediatric Dentist at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The position involves diagnosing and treating pediatric patients, coordinating with specialists, and supervising dental residents within a teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose oro-dental pain and infection using imaging and evaluation techniques.
• Perform pediatric dental care such as fluoride treatments, sealants, restorative, endodontic, and exodontia using behavior guidance and sedation as needed.
• Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback of dental residents.
• Conduct didactic instruction, including lectures and case presentations.
• Assess resident performance and contribute to formal periodic evaluations.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CODA regulations and standards are met.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $37,000* based on 8-hour work week.

Additional Benefits:

• Projected bonus of up to $8,000(based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
