Job summary

St. Louis Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our pediatric-focused team. The role supports dentists and the clinical team in delivering exceptional care in a welcoming environment for children and their families.

Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, preparing rooms and instruments, taking X-rays, educating patients, maintaining infection control, and supporting daily operations. Travel between up to four locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in a dental or medical setting is preferred.
• Active dental assistant certification is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, patient-focused approach to working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures and exams.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
• Take and process dental X-rays in compliance with safety regulations.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain infection control, sterilization, and OSHA compliance.
• Support the clinical team with daily patient care and office operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
