Job summary

The Smile Company Dental Care LLC in Maryland Heights, MO is seeking an enthusiastic Dental Assistant to enhance our patient-focused dental practice. In this role, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage dental supply inventory, and educate patients on oral hygiene.

We're looking for candidates with dental assisting experience or recent graduates from an accredited program, who value a supportive atmosphere and are dedicated to excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience preferred; recent graduates welcome to apply.
• Familiarity with dental X-rays and radiography techniques.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
• Record patient medical histories and treatment notes in dental software
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Manage dental supply inventory and ensure operatories are fully stocked
• Provide compassionate chairside manner to ensure patient comfort throughout visits

Requirements

• Prior dental assisting experience preferred; recent graduates welcome to apply
• Dental Assistant certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Familiarity with dental X-rays and radiography techniques
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
