Job summary

Menifee Dental Group and Orthodontics in Menifee, CA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist with procedures, and help maintain a sterile, friendly office environment.

You must meet state requirements, may require driving to multiple offices, and will participate in team huddles. This role emphasizes patient care, communication, and attention to detail within a collaborative dental practice.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED plus state-mandated training.
• State-mandated certificates/licensure/registrations required.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance; background and MVR checks.
• Travel to multiple offices daily is required; reliable transportation.
• Preferred: one-year certificate or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state-defined Permitted Duties for Dental Auxiliaries.
• Assist PPE and keep patients focused on treatment.
• Escort patients to the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Coordinate with front and back office to ensure a smooth schedule.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments; clean operatory per infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist for efficient care.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory.
• Keep mouths dry using suction and other devices.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and oral health care.
• Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital chart.
• Present treatment records and health history to clinician prior to treatment.
• Ensure equipment meets manufacturer guidelines; assist Lead Dental Assistant with supplies.
• Learn and demonstrate operation of equipment to others.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
