Job summary

Wanuck & Hier is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant in Jupiter, FL. The role offers 24 hours or less per week with an hourly pay range of $20.00–$25.00, plus benefits. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

You will support dentists, maintain sterilization protocols, manage records in Dentrix, and help educate patients on oral care. The team emphasizes a welcoming, child-friendly environment and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize dental treatment rooms and instruments prior to patient appointments.
• Assist dentists during various dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Perform sterilization and disinfection of dental tools and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care with empathy and clear communication.
• Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials, ensuring availability for daily operations.
• Adhere to body motion and ergonomics best practices to maintain personal health and safety during clinical tasks.
