Job summary

LanceSoft is seeking a Pediatric CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries in Texas. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure safe surgical outcomes.

Key duties include pre-op assessment, IV therapy, intraoperative monitoring, and family education, with a focus on pediatric cardiac care and post-op recovery support.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 1+ year of acute care experience
• Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
• Experience with post-heart surgery patients
• BLS certification required
• ACLS & PALS within 60 days of hire
• BSN required within 24 months

Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare pediatric patients prior to surgery
• Administer IV therapy and pre-operative medications
• Participate in surgical site verification and time-out procedures
• Monitor patients during surgery and respond to emergencies
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
• Collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress
• Follow all safety, infection control, and clinical protocols
