Job summary

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children seeks a Critical Care Transporter to safely transfer patients to local facilities, coordinate discharges, and support transports within the system.

Qualified candidates hold a Florida EMT or Paramedic license, BLS and EVOC, a clean driving record, and at least 1 year of ambulance or Fire Department driving experience. Shift: VFT, Days.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Emergency Medical Technician program (DOT) or Paramedic program; may be a Paramedic program graduate.
• Current Florida EMT or Paramedic license and BLS.
• EVOC certification.

Responsibilities

• Document each transfer: type and destination.
• Communicate patient information with RN/RRT/Paramedic on ambulance runs.
• Demonstrate unit-specific competencies.
• Report patient condition to RN and healthcare team.
• Maintain punctual attendance per Orlando Health policies.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
