Job summary

Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in Orlando, FL seeks an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide safe transfer of patients to local facilities, discharges and outlying facilities.

This Pool shift (1 per week) is based in the Mobile Transport department and offers a varied schedule with on-site work and strong benefits including tuition reimbursement and leadership development programs.

Qualifications

• One year of ambulance driving experience or Fire Department experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of EMT program from DOT-approved/accredited program; Paramedic program is a plus.
• Current EMT or Paramedic license in Florida renewed every two years.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• EVOC certification.
• Valid Florida driver's license with ≤6 points and insurability under Orlando Health.

Qualifications

Experience

One (1) year of ambulance driving experience and/or Fire Department experience.

Education/Training

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Successful completion of Emergency Medical Technician program from approved/accredited Department of Transportation (DOT) program. May also be a graduate of an additional paramedic program.

Licensure/Certification

• Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license or Paramedic (PMD) license in the State of Florida renewed every two (2) years.
• Maintain current Basic life support certification (BLS).
• Emergency Vehicle Operator's Certificate (EVOC) certification.
• Valid Florida driver\?s license with no more than six (6) points, at least 21 years of age, and must be insurable under the Orlando Health Insurance carrier's requirements and standards.
