Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System seeks a Transport Program team member to care for ill or injured patients during interfacility transfers. You will assist under RN/Paramedic supervision, maintain ambulance and equipment, and coordinate communications with lifesaving teams.

Responsibilities include dispatching ground and flight transports, documenting logs, and ensuring regulatory compliance. A Florida EMT license, EVOC, and current BLS are required, with at least one year driving an emergency

Qualifications

• EMT certification and state license required.
• EVOC certification and up-to-date training required.
• BLS certification maintained in good standing.
• Florida driver’s license with clean record.
• IAMTCS Flight Communicator or CFC certification required within 24 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year driving an emergency vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN or Paramedic supervision during transport.
• Maintain and upkeep of NCH ambulance and equipment.
• Coordinate dispatch and flight following for helicopter, fixed-wing, or ground ambulance.
• Document transport logs and related records.
• Engage with hospitals, physicians, nurses, and dispatchers to ensure accurate communication.
• Respond to transport requests within 60 minutes of notification, at least one shift weekly.
• Support compliance with Code of Business and ethical Conduct.
