Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of EMT program (DOT) or graduation from a paramedic program.
• Current Florida EMT or Paramedic license (renewed every two years).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Emergency Vehicle Operator’s Certificate (EVOC) required.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Document transfers including type and destination of the patient.
• Communicate patient information with RN/RRT/Paramedic during ambulance transfer.
• Demonstrate competency in unit-specific tasks and skills.
• Communicate patient condition to the RN and other team members.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance per policy and standards.
• Adhere to all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
