Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCCU in the Bronx. The role supports adherence to ANA standards and MMC practices, participates in performance improvement, and demonstrates clinical leadership in a high-acuity pediatric unit.

The RN will carry a 7:00 AM–7:30 PM schedule with 11.5 hours per shift, coordinate an interdisciplinary plan of care, and ensure timely assessments and documentation.

Qualifications

• BSN required and NY license.
• 5 years Pediatric Critical Care experience required.
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in coordinating patient care.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Ensures 100% of assigned patients have documented plans of care.
• Completes admission assessments within 8 hours.
• Maintains comprehensive documentation reflecting team approach.
• Provides patient-focused care and effective communication.
• Leads daily IDT rounds and mentors staff.
• Ensures compliance with MMC standards of practice.
