Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NYSNA float pool in Bronx, NY. The role floats to units across the organization, maintaining nursing standards per ANA and MMC policies, driving quality improvement, and demonstrating leadership.

A two-year commitment is required, with day shifts and alternating weekends/holidays. Hourly rate is $75.15, with scheduled hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (11.5 hours per day).

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing is required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Valid New York State RN license.
• Two years ICU RN experience required.
• Basic Life Support Training required.
• Infection Control Training required.
• Certification in specialty preferred.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in coordinating and delivering patient care.
• Complete admission assessments per policy and document interdisciplinary care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and care teams.
• Implement and monitor care plans; adjust as needed.
• Ensure safe environment and administer medications per policy.
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement initiatives.
