Job summary

Advocate Health’s Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC seeks Pediatric Intensive Care APPs to cover a 24-bed PICU. The role emphasizes first-line critical care, code blue responses, and PICU consulting with opportunities for invasive procedures and hemodynamics management.

Requirements include NP or PA licensure in the state, DEA eligibility, and pediatric critical care certification. A supportive benefits program accompanies a base salary in a defined pay range.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state.
• BLS required with expiration date >90 days from start date.
• Nurse Practitioner or PA certification preferred depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and periodic medical history, exams and daily assessments.
• Records findings and plans of care in the medical record.
• Performs procedures and administers medications as ordered.
• Orders and interprets labs and imaging and determines treatment plans.
• Acts as patient advocate and participates in policy development.
• Participates in group meetings and contributes to care standards.
