Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West is seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide school-based OT services to students aged 3–22 under the supervision of a licensed OT. Responsibilities include implementing therapy plans, collecting progress data for IEPs, collaborating with teachers and families, and helping students participate in classroom life.

Applicants should hold Ohio OTA license and Ohio Board registration; prior pediatrics experience is preferred;

Qualificações

• License and registration as OTA in Ohio.
• Prior experience in pediatrics preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Consult with the supervising therapist on therapy goals and data for IEPs.
• Assist students in transferring skills to the classroom and home by working with teachers and parents.
• Participate in transitioning students into and out of educational and/or therapy programs.
• Serve as a resource for classroom teachers regarding strategies, adaptations, and materials.
• Monitor accessibility of work and school environments.
• Construct or modify adaptive equipment for positioning, ADL, and classroom use.
• Assist in ensuring proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment.
• Maintain and submit student records and required reports.
