Accel seeks a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our clinic-based team in Phoenix, AZ. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will support individualized treatment plans to improve functional skills and daily living activities for children and patients.

The ideal candidate is patient, organized, and passionate about helping clients achieve developmental and functional goals in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, implement individualized treatment plans.
• Patient-focused approach to support developmental and functional goals.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, remediates, and provides consultative assistance on perceptual/sensory motor and fine motor skills.
• Investigates case situations and presents information to multidisciplinary team.
• Facilitates intervention and transition back to school or clinic settings.
• Assists in evaluation of new students/clients upon entrance to the program.
• Conducts individual or group therapy programs to remediate disorders.
• Plans and conducts remedial programs to improve functional skills and learning.
• Coordinates with supervisor on diagnostic needs and OT materials.
• Ensures Therapy Department equipment is serviced and maintained.
• Performs related duties as required by the Therapy Supervisor.
