Job summary

Home of the Innocents is seeking RN Staff Nurses for the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center in Louisville, KY. You will lead care for medically complex children and young adults in a trauma-informed, team-driven environment where your work makes a real difference.

You’ll assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and receive training for ventilator and tracheostomy care. Self-scheduling and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Kentucky.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (provided if needed).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for working with children and families.
• Commitment to trauma-informed care and collaborative teamwork.
• Preferred: experience in pediatrics or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for medically complex children and young adults.
• Lead care planning by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments.
• Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care with training available.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Educate residents and families on managing medical conditions.
• Foster a nurturing, trauma-informed environment for all residents.
