Ochsner Health in Lafayette, LA seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist with basic patient care under licensed nurse supervision. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and communicate care needs across teams. The role requires foundational clinical skills and a patient-centric approach.

Preferred candidates hold an active CNA, BLS and CPI certifications within 30 days of hire, and may have hospital/telemetry experience. Flexible schedule and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Responsabilités

• Supports the plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of skills verification.
• Maintains a clean and safe patient care environment.
• Provides patient care appropriate to ages served, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Communicates patient care needs to patients, families, and staff, including multi-disciplinary teams.
• Completes documentation of patient-related tasks accurately.
• Adapts interactions to patient privacy and communication needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
