Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Pediatric Outpatient clinic on a full-time day shift. The CMA will provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision, perform basic diagnostic procedures and clerical tasks, and help maintain a safe and efficient ambulatory care environment.

Requirements include High School Diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant Certification, and CPR – Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a healthcare provider, assists with patient treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitors and documents patient condition.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including stocking and cleaning; keeps examination area orderly.
• May perform administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, data entry, billing, and patient registration.
