Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant - Pediatrics for days. The role supports physicians and nurses, manages patient flow, performs clinical and admin tasks, and ensures a clean, safe exam area.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and 0–2 years in a relevant role. Certification eligibility for CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA within six months is accepted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be eligible for CMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA/NRCMA within six months or certified within six months.
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required.
• 0–2 years of relevant patient-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and prepare exam rooms.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, and related procedures.
• Stock, disinfect, and maintain exam rooms and supplies.
• Communicate with patients and care team to ensure high-quality care.
• Perform delegated duties and support supervisor/manager as needed.
• Adhere to policies, safety, and privacy standards.
